The Made in America Store was opened in 2010 and includes 6,000 products utilizing 400 American manufacturers. Among the variety of items for sale, this store has clothing and accessories, candy, outdoor goods, home care products, patriotic items and much more.
The Owner and Founder of the Made in America Store
The concept and creation of this exceptional store was founded by Mark Andol. The idea resulted from a personal experience for Mr. Andol because his welding company almost went out of business in 2007. This was due to his company losing their clients to foreign manufacturers. The store was just an idea in the beginning and only held 50 products. This is because it was difficult to meet Andol’s requirements, which is products with all parts, packaging, and assembly in the United States.
Contributing to American jobs
The mission of Mark Andol for this store was to create and restore as many American manufacturing jobs as possible to result in a positive impact on the U.S. economy. The store carries top quality shoes from Wisconsin, jeans made in North Carolina, slinky toys from Pennsylvania, and chocolates from Colorado to name just a few. These States are just a few of many that manufacture items for this store. The success of the first store in Elma, New York has resulted in the opening of more Made in America stores within other cities of New York. The owner hopes to increase American jobs by having stores located all over America.
