Victorian Rose     

Start your visit to Bellefonte in Victorian Rose, located at 121 South Allegheny Street. This quaint shop carries useful information to assist in planning your visit including maps and value books. Be sure to take a quick look around before you head to the Plaza Centre Antique Gallery. Upstairs Victorian prints, lamps, linens, lace, curtains, candles, sconces, floral arrangements, Christopher Radko ornaments and chandeliers are available to purchase. Downstairs you will find a seasonal garden, birdbaths, wreaths and statutory. Victorian Rose also features a gourmet tea room where seasonal dips, sauces, local Cooke Tavern soups and breads, brownie mixes, and tea and teapots are sold.

Housed in a beautifully restored 20th century theatre at 124 West High Street, in historic downtown Bellefonte, Plaza Centre Antique Gallery is Central Pennsylvania’s largest indoor antique mall spread across 5 floors and with 100 vendors.

Both the main floor and second floor of the old theatre are lined with consignment booths.  Additionally Bellefonte antiques, collectibles and vintage clothing spill into a second building adjacent to the first. Browse through the different sections of Plaza Center Antique Gallery, with the constant turnover of each vendor’s items, there are always new and exciting antiques to be found. Prices vary in the Plaza Centre Antique Gallery and while most items are reasonably priced you will also find expensive gems such as furs, glass, coins, furniture and collectibles. There are more antiques, collectibles and vintage clothing to be found in the second building. In addition, the second building sells candles, country crafts, textiles and books.

Be sure to explore the historical artifacts displayed throughout Plaza Centre Gallery that look at the rich history of the 20th century theatre and Bellefonte. As you make your way through the main entrance of the old theater, movie posters, playbooks and photographs of the original theater create a unique ambiance. Near the front of the theater, close to its historical stage, is a fully functional weaving loom. On the second floor, artifacts in display cases such as coins, albums and other memorabilia bring the history of Bellefonte to life.
