Visiting 1000 Islands Tower

The 1000 Islands Tower is the only tourist attraction of its kind in the 1000 Islands. Ride the elevator to the top of the Tower and experience a breathtaking 360-degree panorama from 400 feet above the ground. You will not only discover the best of what the area has to offer, but each of the three observation decks will provide you with a spectacular photographic opportunity of the 1000 Islands and St. Lawrence River.

The high speed elevator, running continuously throughout the day, makes it easy for you to explore the splendors of nature from all three levels of the Tower. Day, or night, rain or shine, each of Mother Nature’s weather whims provides guests with an exciting experience. On a clear day, one can see islands of all shapes and sizes, the Canadian and U.S. spans of the 1000 Islands International Bridge, Boldt Castle, local villages, magnificent homes and public parks.

Canada’s Natural Splendor

The 1000 Islands is renowned for its fall foliage and there is no better location to experience the 1000 Islands’ vibrant fall colors than from the 1000 Islands Tower. Between the months of September and October, delight in a collage of flaming reds, rustic oranges and the soft glow of yellow and gold intertwined with the evergreens. The St. Lawrence forest region is especially known for its autumn splendor because of its mix of sugar, maple, birch, oak and evergreen trees.

Wildlife

The abundance of wildlife in the 1000 Islands becomes most clear from atop the 1000 Islands Tower. The 1000 Islands are home to many rare and endangered species. Watch for wild turkeys jetting through the forests, map turtles in pristine waters, or bald eagles soaring through the sky.

Don’t forget to stop by the 1000 Islands Tower Gift Shop. Located in the lobby at the base of the 1000 Islands Tower, the Gift Shop offers one of the finest selections of quality gifts and souvenirs in the 1000 Islands. You can shop for Canadian made apparel, original soapstone carvings, Blue Mountain Pottery, Canadian maple syrup and candy.

Travel Tips

-         In addition to the Gift Shop, an ice cream and cheese shop can also be found at the 1000 Islands Tower.
